WiFi, empty beaches and hygge: Why working from Goa is a great option!

If places had a janam kundli (how is it not a thing already?), Goa’s would certainly have Rahu-Ketu in its ‘plans’ house. What else explains people not being able to make it to Goa even after a lot of back and forth?

It all starts with a phrase – ‘Let’s go to Goa!’ – followed by a ‘Yaas!’ from everyone. Transforms into a WhatsApp group. The next step is convincing your parents that you’re “only going there for the beaches” (hah!), realigning your other plans to squeeze this in somehow. However, these beach plans ‘water down’ – literally – because of several reasons.

  • No leaves pending.
  • Parents said no.
  • You forgot you had another commitment.
  • It’s so close, you ‘can go there any other time’.

And so, one after the other, people leave the group before it entirely dissolves. You were in for this – you knew it.

But this dates back to the pre-COVID times. Because, if you can work from home, you can work from a private vacation home in Goa, too, right?

(Did you read our blog about Ways to Switch Up WFH?)

Starting our day with yoga, followed by sipping on some coconut water, heading over to a cafe for a hearty brekkie and some time with your laptop.
